We are going to take the plunge and get 25 or 30 Cornish cross this year. Our farm supply has them delivered once a month every month until October. Should I get them mid August, or mid September? It is hot here in August....I’m going to say around 24-30C depending on the year. By mid Sept it is in the low 20’s usually.
If I got them in August, they’d be butchered the second week of Oct. If I got them in Sept, we’d be in November by butchering and it’s quite cold by then. I know they don’t like heat and don’t do well in it, but how cold hardy are they?
They will be living on the grass in a chicken tractor that will be moved once or twice a day as needed.

I would get them in August. I've found it's the older ones that have problems with heat (and at temps above 30C), not the chicks.

That has to be one big tractor to hold 30 meaties.
