This may sound stupid but when ever I am nervous about a baseball game coming up or I am going up to bat soon I will listen to No Surprise by Daughtry on my ipod. It calms me down and the lyrics in the song motivate me and that is what got me threw a game against FSU in fall ball. I went 3-4 with a walk, 2 SBs (stole home twice and I made it both times

) and 2 RBIs. What motivates you when you are nervous about something?

That is a hard one for me, I don't get nervous often. I have songs that pick me up, motivate me, just make me feel good, but I don't get nervous.

I don't get nervous about a lot of things. But some things like baseball of course get me nervous.

Sometimes music. I do tend to get very nervous about some things to the point of being sick, so have to listen to something that will strengthen my spine enough to keep going on.
Oh and it in NO way sounds stupid, you do what helps.

I don't get nervous too often, but usually someone telling me "Don't worry about it, you'll be fine" is enough to calm me down a whole lot.

Sometimes when I'm nervous about a confrontation or having to see a certain person, I'll watch an episode of one of my favorite shows, either X-files or The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I always feel tough after watching those shows!

Oh shoot, and I'm super nervous about university too... knowing I get to see my horse every weekend helps me calm down a bit. Moving away from home is the scariest thing for me. Actually, I'm probably never moving from home because this house and these 8 acres and these animals I get to inherit when my parents pass.

I try to do things that scare me a bit, I think it makes you grow. I've been out of undergraduate studies for 15 years and wanted to go back to school, but was terrified that I wouldn't get in or couldn't handle it. Well, I got in, and I'm doing well; I'm SSSSOOOOO glad that I didn't let that fear deprive me of a great new experience.

I don't get nervous that often either, but when I do. "It's okay" and "We are going to get through it" motivate me.
