Both joints are swollen?

I would ask your vet if she can do some testing for you to find out what that is.

hmmm...could just be the angle of the photo, but to me it looks like the left one has some swelling too - maybe not as much, but...

It's possible. The red patches had me wondering, but I was kind of preoccupied with the other leg. *sigh*
