I candle pretty much every day and have never had any problems. The biggest issue is if the incubator is in a cold room, you candle for too long, you are too rough, or you have a very unstable incubator that will jump around if you open the lid too often (if you hand-turn, that's pretty much an inevitability anyway). I have great hatch rates even despite my frequent handling of the eggs.
