We have:
2 dogs (miniature poodles, 10 years old, Finley and Oliver)
1 cat (18 years, Ginger)
3 fish (2 goldfish, 1 Pleco, Fuji, Tapioca, and Albert)
1000 mealworms (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,...)
2 parakeets Mango and Dandelion
1 hedgehog (Yona, aka “Hedgie”
16 chickens (of course) (not going to list all them)
And possibly, maybe, thinking, about getting a barn cat.... maybe. (Would be amazing, have tons of rats...)
Aww, your hedgehog is soooo cute!!!!!!! 🥰 I'm currently searching for one. 😄

Not quite a Liger or a Lynx, but I do have Luxor, my savannah cat (a cross between an African Serval and a domestic cat)

He's an F3, so his great grandfather was a Serval.

Despite the wild blood, he's a huge softie (and a coward), and he's even an unusual color for a savannah.

They're a lot of fun, but a LOT more work than your typical cat. I wouldn't recommend getting one on a whim, but they're very rewarding.

Oh yeah, he's gorgeous.

If you legitimately want one, definitely do the research first. They're amazing, but they get rehomed very often because people don't realize the kind of effort it takes to keep them.

EVERYTHING in the house needs to be baby proofed. They're not only huge trouble makers, but they're SMART. Luxor bests me every time getting into the trash cans. He knows how to pop the kids open, knock them over, and even open the flaps from the top. I'm considering a padlock tbh.

Also make sure you go to an outstanding breeder and not just anyone who sells them. TICA registered is a bare minimum to avoid scams (a lot of "breeders" will sell you a full-blooded serval and pass it off as an F1), but also pay attention to how many cats and litters they have. If they have kittens year round, probably look elsewhere.

It's true of all animals, but savannahs especially need to be well socialized from a young age or they become antisocial or even mean. You want a breeder who takes the time to socialize and get to know all the kittens individually.

If you're serious, I can recommend my breeder, they were wonderful and I'm still in regular contact with them giving them updates on Lux.
(Also savannahs are expensive as heck, and if you find one for cheap, it's very likely a scam.)
