What people know.......

Wow, this has turned into quite the illuminating discussion.

The car sits by the side of the road with both sides fighting over whose fault it is that it is broken and how to fix it so no one is home warm and safe and the care remains unfixed.

The problem with unilateral thinking is that it misses what the fence sitters see - that the grass is pretty much the same color on either side of the fence. There are no right or wrong answers to what ails us. There are only better methods.

But, we will never find them when we keep blaming the insidious creep Royd speaks of one one party or the other.

Is that: The insidious creep, Royd, or the insidious creep, Royd speaks of?.........You see, it's not my job to discern your writing....You should have learned that, in school.

ETA: In this particular instance, is creep a verb or a noun?

It tok BOTH parties 30 years to get us here so don't kid yourself that either one of them is going to fix it.

Q, I hope you don't find this patronizing, but you give me hope. I certainly, by far do not agree with some of your ideas or the conclusions you sometimes draw, but I love the way you work toward reaching them. I respect that.

As long as we keep at each other's throats we will never fix things. An ignorant people are easier to control.

BTW - the percentage of liberal ideologies among teachers changes with the level. College professors do lean toward liberal, but the number as of the last one I found is close to like 45 to 55. You can predict leanings based on area of study though, and since colleges have both business and arts you get a close to 50/50 split. The lower level grades tend to skew conservative especially in religious views. My kids are in public school, heavily supplemented at home and what they learn in school is very conservative.

. . . . .Most Americans swear this is a democracy specifically because we teach them that.

No one knows what happened in the past, history is written by the victors.......

Exactly!
