What Plants???

I a have a 9'x10' pheasant pen and I would like to put the final touch of plants.
Does anyone know what plants are safe to keep with Grey Peacock Pheasants?
There is one pine tree in there now but the rest is dirt. It is 6 1/2 feet high so I can have some higher plants. Thankyou

Hi there, I'm new here and really don't know how to navigate through this site to do a link for you but I have done searches on this forum about "poisonous plants" for my ducks and found lots of info. Wish I could give you link....but I just know I would get lost in a sea of topics and probably wouldn't be able to find my way back here to provide you a link searchers are my friends!

In a small pen, grasses won't make it at all. Small shrubs like viburnums are nice, and If in sun, catnip, other mints, and some herbs. Then bedding with bagged shavings and hay, dried grass clippings, leaves, and stuff. Keep them short enough to be under your run topper, so leave out trees and larger shrubs like lilacs. Mary

Oops. I dug up a bunch of grass from a weedy area and planted it in there. What ever. It took me 5 minutes. Thankyou for the information I will dig up some of those.

Clumps are grass are fine, I just doubt that they will live very long. Mary
