I have been keeping my oyster shells in my barn with no problem. This morning I found my oyster shell bags chewed open and shells on the ground. What predator would open a bag of oyster shells to eat them?

Thanks. I know I have rats so that doesn’t surprise me, although it has been out there all winter and nothing has bothered it. I was hoping this wasn’t the MO of a bear. We have those around, but I haven’t seen one that close to my house for a while.Mice and rats.
I think a bear would cause way more destruction. Mice and rats chew through everything. They probably got in there, scattered the stuff around looking for actual food, then gave up when they realized it was all just straight up calcium lolThanks.
