What predator killed my Silver Spangled Hamburg? May include gruesome pics.

I forgot to add that between getting the injured chicken in the basement and closing the chicken shed door, the hawk came back again. Decent sized and dark in color. We were at the house and the chickens were in the coop with the door open. We saw the hawk on the ground at the coop door before we spooked it. We have no doubt Willie, our roo, protected or stopped the assault on the injured ssh. He was guarding her in the coop alone when she was found. Treats for him tomorroa.

Hi,
Why would a Guinea Fowl be helpful to ward off hawks.
I have a falcon and a hawk for regular visits to my girls.
We are in the city.
Thanks.

From what I gather, they ar excellent "watch dogs" and will alarm the chickens if anything is out of the ordinary, in the sky or on the ground. I don't think they so much protect them as much as give them a warning and a head start to find cover.
