The bobcat made a mess though.

I love my cameras...I need another camera.
Snakes swallow prey whole and the entire prey is digested. This definitely isn't a snake. What about a snake?
I agree. I was not sure about the fur though. I used to raise bunnies, mice and rats for snake food (shhh, don't tell anyone) but they usually wanted the pinkies. I'm just surprised more people with chicks don't think of snakes.Snakes swallow prey whole and the entire prey is digested. This definitely isn't a snake.
I'm leaning more toward predatory bird -- possibly hawk. They have a tendency to "strip" the flesh out, and will move from place to place dropping bones as they go. Occasionally you'll find a pelt left over from their feedings. It's cool until you're climbing a tree at 10 years old and come face-to-face with the bloody pelt of a possum 20 feet up.
Oh yeah, if chicks are raised outside and one comes up missing and you don't have any evidence of predators getting into the coop, it's usually a snake!I agree. I was not sure about the fur though. Vultures will pick a carcass and leave the pelt like that.I'm sorry for posting a picture of a dead thing but what predator does this? This is the second critter I've found like this. It's JUST FUR, there's literally nothing else there. No meat, no bones, and almost no skin. If you move this the fur falls apart like it was shaved.
It's not graphic, but putting picture in spoiler just in case someone is sensitive.
We have lots of known predators around here. I'm just curious which one is doing this because both "bodies" were found inside my fenced in yard.
Known predators in my immediate area: Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Raccoon, Owls, Hawks.
... possible aliens.

He was probably looking for his rabbitWe definitely have turkey vultures out the wazoo here so that would make sense! Heck, one was walking through my backyard next to my chickens today! It startled me because I thought there was something trying to eat the chickens but it was like... strolling through the yard like a chicken. Lol
Chupacabras. The fur looks relatively clean or my other thought would of been Sasquatch.
They love to use rabbits as TP because of their softness. Sometimes they wipe the fur right off them.
