What price do you think???? Link with PIC added.

I may have misspoken when I said “walk-in” coop. I think “all-in-one” might be a more accurate description. I can’t get a picture of the actual one, and besides, I can't post pics because I am a "new egg" but it is sort of like this style here, only it is smaller and not as fancy at all. It is just simple wood, simple door, no cute little window, etc. It is like the Playhouse Coop, but smaller. And like this, but smaller:

My
neighbor's doesn't have the additional run space next to the human door like this one does and it is about 5 ft tall so you have to stoop in there. Also, it isn’t as wide. The part next to door that is run space in this picture is small, if not non-existent.

Does this information change anyone’s thoughts on the price?

Thank you so much,
CJ

I totally agree, if you explain you only planned on spending $150 but if they cant sell to let you know.

I know we spent more than $300 on our coop, but if you cant spend that much, just be honest

Yes, I think I might do this. I think maybe I will tell them $200 though. I want to be fair. I just don't know what fair is. Also, I need to go over with my husband what he thinks he can built with what we've got and what we can scavenge. If we can built an A-frame for $150 but can buy this for $200, it might be a no-brainer, if they're willing to go to $200.

Also, in case it makes a difference on value, aside from being much smaller than the one I posted a link to, I believe the walls of the actual henhouse might be plywood.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I would have to see what the coop looks like before I could give an answer but why don't you low ball him on an offer and see what he says. If he wants to get rid of it bad enough he might tak $100 bucks for it.

I looked at your link to see the style. With that in mind, do you have the coop's measurements?? The size of the housing section and the size of the usable run space?? Many people use plywood on the sides/walls - pretty typical. Does it have any windows, even if it's just wired over rectangles cut into the wood? What kind of wire was used on the run? Safe, sturdy wire, or just chicken wire? What's the roof made of, shingles or metal?
