What setting should my brooder plate be on?

Hi! I have a comfort chicks brooder plate. I am not sure what number to set it to. I read the instructions, but it didn't clearly say.

I don't have this plate or know anything about it. But if the chicks are all squished together under it and still peeping loudly then try bumping it up a bit more. if they are all outside it and laying down with wings out then bump it down more. Just watch for their behavior and once they are happily settled under it sleeping and not squished all together (they may still snuggle but they will be calm and peaceful) then you are at the right setting.
