What settings on camera for candeling eggs?

How do you guys get pics in the dark of your candled eggs? I've tried every button on my camera in unison even. LOL I know i can video them real well, but can't figure out with the camera, which is a canon powershot BTW. Jen...

hey that's what i use....I use the first setting with the camera symbol....i hold it in and the thing snaps and the screen goes blank, and i hold very still.....then when the picture finnally shows up i can move

My camera has a night shot setting on it. Works great in the dark.

Thanks ya'll! I'll try again tonight when it gets dark outside. I just might have to pull out the big guns and READ THE MANUAL!

I shut the flash off and I use the button for closeup pics (I can't remember what it's called but, it the flower one-macro, I think?) and the auto setting.
