I have 4 australorps that are 4 weeks old. I have two that I'm fairly certain are roosters, one that I'm fairly certain is a pullet, and one that I just have no clue on. Sometimes I think roo and sometimes I think hen.

Here is Penguin, the one I believe is a pullet. Right from about a week old, this one and the questionable one had more feathering and much longer tails than the two I believe are roosters. And Penguin has barely any noticeable comb.

Here is Sneezy, the one I can't make up my mind about. Longer tail like Penguin, BUT more comb than Penguin has.

Buff orpington photo bomb - because it's like this every time I try to take any pictures in the brooder. LOL!

Here is a photo with all four. From left is Hot Shot, who I believe is a rooster; Penguin in the back; Tiki in the front middle, who I also believe is a boy; and Sneezy on the left. Hot Shot and Tiki both have stumpy taisls and, as you can see, combs that are already starting to show some good color.

Hot Shot and Sneezy with their heads together for comb comparison. It seems like Sneezy's comb is paler, but maybe I'm just willing her to be a pullet?

I'm really thinking Tiki is a cockerel - lot of wattle coming in and his comb is much more orange/red like Hot Shot's is.

Here is another shot of Tiki where you can see the comb a bit better. I was really thinking Tiki is a rooster, but I'd be super excited if I got 3 pullets out of a straight run bin!

Tried to get a few more photos - why do chickens pose so nicely when you AREN'T trying to get a specific shot and are total turds when you need them to stay still? LOL

Here are two shots of Tiki with a good look at wattles and comb.

Sneezy....

Sneezy front, Hot Shot back - seeing them together makes me think Sneezy is a rooster.

Sneezy, right, and Penguin, left. Seeing them together makes me think Sneezy is a pullet.

Well, I'll have to keep a close watch in the coming weeks. I would be so happy if there are 3 pullets to add to my flock!
