What sex are these 4+ week EE old chicks? The bottom 2 pics are the same chick.

They are supposed to be pullets but one has different behavior than the others we have and the one on the bottom is a little larger but she is a few days older. Also can you tell what type of comb these 2 have?

This is Clara or Clarence. (hopefully Clara)

This is Gina we hope.

I think both are cockerels. EEs have pea combs. Those 2 seem to have pinkening combs. Here is my 4 wk old EE. I'm sure it's a girl.

The one on the top looks like it has a different type of comb than the others. I thought EE's could have other types.

Both appear to be boys unfortunately. The black and white one is for sure. The other.. I'd need to see a comb. The colouring appears to be very male.

Both are definitely cockerels. They have red combs, and very typical male Easter Egger coloring.

I'm bummed. The one on the bottom was the only one of four females that were shipped from My Pet Chicken to survive. And it turns out to be a male. Won't order from them again.

Sorry to hear that, but sexing day old chicks isn't even 95% accurate. I got 6 pullets from TSC, and one was a boy. We then got 2 cochin pullets from Callahan's, and then a EE pullet. I'm thinking that one of the cochins is a boy.

Update: I guess My Pet Chicken has been redeemed. The one on the bottom is a pullet! Gina will remain Gina. Unfortunately Clara has become Clarence.
