What sex are these african geese??????

I'll wait. No sense in stressing out the bird vent sexing it. I know how to do it on newly hatched ducklings and chicks but I've never done a goose. As for the DNA, I'd rather save that money for feed. I'm sure since the goose will develop a nob I'll be able to tell that was as well. So far at 2 months no sign of a nob. Definitely big personality though...... lol.

Miss Lydia, you asked about the pen. I took pictures yesterday. It's nothing fancy but it works and it's safe.

thats nice! sometimes i wish we still only had a few birds and could have a cute small/medium pen

Thanks, that's where I put my ducks and geese. I do plan on making a house for the geese. They seem to like going inside stuff. Ducks like being outside. When the temps cool down and I can walk better I'll be outside building away...... lol.

I was one of the people wondering if I had Chinese or Africans with my "Weeder Geese" goslings. Have come to the conclusion they are either a mix of the two or hatchery/production African. Originally I hoped they would end up Chinese but now viewing all these photos to compare, I am very happy with what I have-I think I prefer the more moderate African type.
Even if I don't actually have Africans!
