What should a chicken’s breath smell like?

Hi all! Just a bit nervous about sour crop. My girl Chichi was sitting on my leg when she adjusted her crop, like when they do that big “yawn.” I smelt a quick whiff of something sour, but then while holding her and trying to sniff her breath I smelt nothing. Her crop also doesn’t feel full but also isn’t squishy. I’m not sure what to do.

Any help appreciated!

It would smell like what foodstuff is sitting in the crop.
I never get paranoid until there is something obvious to be concerned about.

Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat or drink, it should be empty then. If it's empty then, all is well, and she's digesting normally.
