What should chickens not eat?

Please Alethea, could you tell me why salt is dangerous? Actually, yesterday I fed them left overs from my goat's meal, consisted of grains, but they were quite salty. After few hours, all chickens had non stopping diarea... I thought it was the salt, but I can't understand why... Today all seem much better except my gorgeous roster... He seems hypnotized..

I fed my hens the shrapnel at the bottom of a bag of potato chips...both salty and potato-y...and they lived.

I bought a double-container of mashed potatoes at Costco, thinking that I'd eat all the whole thing myself. Then I forgot them in my car for a week. Maybe two. It says "Keep refrigerated" on the carton-wrap thingy. They are made with whole milk, so after a week of not being refrigerated, the milk part of 'em has probably seen better days.

So guess what the birdies are getting for lunch tomorrow?

If they die, I guess I'l close my account here, so let's hope they live ('cause y'all are such nice people, and I want to hang around).
