Hey BYC today I have kind of a strange question. What should duck poo look like? I have had ducks for almost a year now and was curious to see if their poo looks healthy or if I need to make improvements to my care for them?

Looks like normal duck poop in your pictures.

-Healthy duck poop-
Color: Can range from a mix of brown and natural plant shades of green (the more greens they eat the more green) to almost black (usually when they have been eating a lot of bugs). You will also be seeing some white due to them both pooping and peeing out of their vent. Note that certain foods can change the color of their poop. Red foods can turn their poop red, orange foods can turn their poop orange etc.

Texture: It can be more on the solid side, a little softer with some shape and sometimes it can be somewhat liquid like depending on how much water they drank and how recently.

-Unhealthy duck poop-

Color: Bloody, bright yellow or bright neon green. Consistent liquid white urates.

Texture: Very hard and dry or always liquid like with concerning colors listed above. Also if stool contains visible parasites.
