5 of 7 of my chicks look like they're going to survive. The humidity in my incubator was too high and the chicks were soaking wet until I put them in the brooder. Now the survivors are looking healthier, but they have dried all crusty and yukky looking. Question: Do I wait until they get a little stronger and then give them a warm water bath, then quickly put them back in the brooder? Or, do I leave them alone? Will the crustiness go away? They're starting to try to preen, and they sure aren't getting anywhere. They look terrible. Any suggestions will be welcome...
