I am letting my chickens free roam today and I saw some of them in the bushes and so I chased them out because it was another property. I have a black jersey giant that was in the bush and when I chased her out she was wobbling around like something was not right and she would not run as fast as she usually do so I picked her up and she felt underweight. She looks okay. She is around 3 months old. I just put out layena for them and she is eating and drinking. What is wrong? I looked for injurys but there was nothing. What should I do? I would separate her from the others but I don't have a extra pen or anything like that. Is it a disease? Please help me. Here are some pictures of her. Her name is Wheezie.

Do you have any children's liquid vitamins? I would add some to the water and also put a drop or two on her beak. This should give her some energy. It could be something really simple as just a vitamin deficiency or dehydration. If it is an illness, I don't think I can help much. Good luck with her. She's a cutie!

First off, be patient! I know it's urgent to help your hen, but you need to be calm about it! Waiting 8 minutes then posting again isn't going to make people help. Wait a reasonable amount of time or else it's considered bumping.

Now.. have you seen her poop lately? Does it have worms in it? Have you noticed any mites/lice on her?

Do you still have them on starter/grower at all? At 3 months of age, they are too young to be getting a layer feed.. Maybe their nutrition is not right... What else are you feeding them?

Ok but she is in a coop with other chickens that need to be on layer food. But if I put grower feed will it effect the others?
