What should I do?

I am planning to raise to chicks soon but my friend told me that there is big chance that my chicks will get an illness. He said that if this will happen it could destroy my business. I am afraid of it. I want to know the ways in how to prevent it. I really want to try raising chicks.

What is your business? Does it involve other animals?

Also, if the land that you are going to be raising chickens on has had chickens raised there before, there might be a chance of micro-organisms still in the soil or building that MIGHT affect a new flock.

What exactly is your bussiness? You can get chicks vaccinated for Mareks Disease if you order them. However, if you take good care of them and give them food and water you will be fine. ( you may have to clean their butts).

I think the OP is planning on getting the chick/chicken business, judging by the intro in the New Members area.

What aspect of the business of chickens are you considering? It's not impossible to make a profit from chickens, but it isn't easy either.
