    Hi all

I had my birds on tiamulin due to respiratory disease (swollen head syndrome & mycoplasma). I stopped the medication after a few days, and two of the hens still have the symptoms of the disease. The vet said that i should kill the hens that still have the disease. I am a bit confused. Do you reckon that i should follow his advice or should i try one more round of antibiotics?

    Thanx a lot

Presumably, you are paying good money for the advice and guidance of your Vet. Why would you ignore it? You know, animal doctors go to extremes to save lives just like human doctors do. If your Vet is recommending culling diseased birds you can be confident that it is in the best interests of both the sick birds and you.

I spoke with my vet a while ago. Granny and Curious are gone [IMG]

All my birds have names based on their character or for Granny's case her age...
