This morning I looked out in my grin yard and saw the most unusual thing. One wild mallard duck egg was laying in the grass by a large tree that I have. Today it was very cold and windy. I don't want the egg to die and my parents don't know what I should do either. Any ideas?

collect the egg and do not stand it up straight make sure you hold it from side to side not top to bottomb, bring it inside the house. If you do not have an incubator then you have time to make one. You can do this by using any container. You will need a light or two or an electric blanket. Use a container that you can keep warm up to 99% Put a small amount of water inside the container. Hook up your light or heat source. The electric blanket would be on the bottomb or the light would hang over the top.

Do not put the egg directly under the light.
Make sure that where you place the egg is sustaining a temperature of 99% at all times. Place the egg in that spot.

Using aluminum foil on the outside of the container will help keep the heat conducting for lights.

Turn your egg several times a day.
Make sure you check the humidity.

Call me if you need better instructions/ideas 2312863809
