what kind of colors should i expect if i had chicks with a barred rock rooster and a few white rock hens....?

i knew the white rock has the recessive gene thing....i just assumed they would all come out barred rock.

Well, according to the Chicken Calculator, you should get all pure-white birds, if the white in the White Rocks is dominant. If White is recessive, you will get all-barred birds.

Im not really sure about hte genentics but my BR roo over any of my hens I end up with barred looking like daddy.

Like all good programs- the calculator can only use the information you in put to give you out put. When an individual reads the research on the birds then you can enter alternative genotypes and get different possibilities.
