What should I feed my 4 week old chicks.

Sorry my question was actually how much to feed them
What kind of 4 week old chicks? For chickens that will be egg layers or pets I just make sure they never run out of feed during the day. If they are meat birds it gets a little more complicated and we would need to now what kind of meat birds. Cornish X, Rangers, or Dual Purpose?

Starter. Starter/Grower. All Flock/Flock Raiser. Basically, an 18%+ protein mix, around 3.5% fiber, 3.5% fat, with the highest methionine and lysine levels you can find. Optimally, you want to find Methionine north of 0.6%, and lysine upwards of 1.1%. More likely, you will find 0.5% and 0.7% respectively.

and not more than 1.5% calcium. Preferably a calcium level around 1.0% average, and a phosphorus level around 0.6%.

Whether or not to feed medicated is VERY fact specific. It won't hurt your birds, but some choose to avoid it.
