What should I Feed Quail Chicks

My 13 Coturnix Quail chicks are going to hatch in a couple days and I am wondering what I should feed them. I have a 20% Organic and Non-medicated chicken chick starter and I have a 36% poultry supplement. I could mix those together to meet their protein requirements. I also have some chia seeds and dried mealworms I could add for protein and grind up. What should I feed them? Thanks!

28% protein for chicks seems to be the sweet spot, personally I would mix the crumble with ground mealworm but only because I don't know what the ingredients are to your poultry supplements.

Remember mealworms contain a lot of fat though so you really don't want to overdo them..

Ok, thank you. What would I be looking for in the supplement that would be bad?

I wouldn't use a suppliment in addition to the feed. Get game bird feed and use that. I experimented once on feed and low protein, for quail does cause feather pulling of other birds
