What should I feed?

Thanks for adding those images Chris. Can you get all those different forms of feeds where you live? I wish I could. Around the towns close to me it comes in two forms, crumble or pellet.

Plus I am referring to either 'flock raiser, starter/grower or layer' feed in my statement of two different grind types. I've never seen any of those 'types' of feed coming in Mix, Extruded, or Mash.

x2 Thanks Chris. Those are really great visuals. Ugh! I want out of the city! I also do not have all of these options. If I want to drive less than an hour to buy feed then my only choice at the moment for grower is mash and I am not in love with mash. But, I do not want to switch to a layer feed so mash it is. I have considered looking online but the shipping prices are always crazy.

'Mix" is not a grind type as my original post states.

I can get Mash, Crumble, Pellet, Extruded and "Mix" in my area.
Mash you should be able to get at any feed mill (not feed store) and they mill it on site.
"Mixes" and Extruded are going found at your better Mills and are marketed more for Gamefowl, Game Birds and Higher End Poultry (Exhibition Poultry)
Most Mixes are still considered a "Grind" type feed just do to the Pellets and or Extruded Feed that is in it.
