I purchased 8 birds all around the age of 3 months. I noticed right away that they had runny stool so I used corid just in case because they are young and did not want to loose any of them. They have been on the treatment for about half a week now and I haven't seen any improvement in their stool. I have delt with Cocci before and I honestly think it is something way more minor than Cocci. They are not dull in life for listless, they are all active and seem to be doing fine other than the diarrhea. What are some foods around the house I can give them to help them? I have heard yogurt, knowing it isn't the best for chickens to have and yet most of the bacteria can be found in a high quality chicken grain anyways. So what could I give them to help harden their stool? Should I finish the treatment anyways just in case?

I would start with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a gallon of water. Then feed them yogurt. If their poop is foamy, they could have a bacterial infection of some sort. Is it hot where you are? Heat will cause them to drink a lot, then cause running stools. I have found that the ACV and yogurt help get their guts good bacterias back in order. Copper sulfate works like a charm as well. Can be purchased at feed stores. Dosage is 1/4 tsp per gallon of water with 2 tbsp of ACV

in my opinion, yogurt works well. You can also get probiotics at feed stores. Beware when asking the feed store employees advice, I've found where I live, they are teenagers who know nothing about animals. Chickens DO have runny cecal poop a few times a day. This is normal. You can always take a sample to a vet for testing. The vet vet will do an egg count to see if/what parasites your birds may have. I hope this helps. I've recently dealt with some sick birds.

So the diarrhea isn't foamy yet. I suspect it is an infection. One of them has realm runny stool to the point where it shoots out the back end. She seems fine other wise running around eating drinking doing chicken things.

Ok so I just got some plain unsweetened yogurt is there a specific amount I should give to each of them or like half a tablespoon each bird?

You don't have to ration it, because it won't do them any harm, and they will love it! Just put it into a couple of bowls, put them down on the ground, and stand well back - it will fly all over the place and you don't want to be there when it does. (Trust me - I'm speaking from experience!)

Thank you for the advise! Will be taken into consideration when you mentioned partials of yogurt fly!
