What should i put in my run?

I built my coop on a concrete slab and i know i need to put bedding out in the run but I was wondering what to use and i dont wantt to have to put new bedding out everytime it rains any info that you got tell me thanks in advance.

It all comes down to personal preference. I have seen wood chips work pretty well. Of course you would need to clear them out after a while. Another low maintenance option is coarse sand. If your issue is you don't want to have to replace after rain, these are your two best options. Stay away from pine shavings or hay.

I would stay away from that...only because its more like dirt, and will just allow waste to pile up on top of it. With wood chips, it can sift through to the bottom.

As often as it looks like you need to change it. You can tell when it needs changing. Make sure to rake it regularly.

I use hay only because that is the only thing the person who i keep my chickens with buys...it works ok, it is really for a temporary setup. You need to change it really often.
