At this stage of the game, there is nothing there but feathers, nothing to eat. A tiny cage that is smelling, is not a good deal. If you cannot provide a different housing situation, then they should all go. Put them for sale on Craigslist, or facebook.

You are not the first person to wind up in this situation, what was enough space for chicks, rapidly becomes too small as the chicks grow. It is rather hard to believe how much they change in size.

I love my birds. I rush to the post office on delivery day before they even call, often in the dark to get them home, safe and warm ASAP. I buy them the best feed. I spend time carefully watching them hoping all are well and am very sad if any had a difficult trip. I carefully pick the poop off their fuzzy little butts with warm water if necessary. I cook them a scrambled egg treat most mornings in hopes they will befriend me. I spend hundreds of dollars on fencing and comfortable housing to protect them. I take them fresh greens and when old enough let them run as free as possible to enjoy the sun, the soil and the delight of being a sensitive living creature. This discussion saddens me. The polical correctness and indirectness frustrates me. I haven’t been on this forum for years. I have immediately been reminded why.

Why are you wanting to buy MORE birds if you can't take care of these 10?

Are you being my serious or is this some sick joke?

For the OP: Done being nice now. You “can’t deal with the smell”, have them “trapped” but are trying to buy more chickens? What in the actual f*%# is wrong with your brain? Please stay away from chickens and all animals for that matter.
