I can't find organic turkey starter here, so I have been feeding them the organic chick starter, but from what I have been reading, I should boost the protein, so what would be something simple that I could toss in with it. The turkey poults are about 4.5 weeks old now.

Cat food.

I use ground up cat food to feed my peachicks and my button quail since it is much higher in protein than the chick starter and I can't get the higher protein starters around here.

I use good old Purina cat Chow and use an old blender to chop it up into a crumble. I mix it about 3/4 cat food and 1/4 with my 20% chicken starter.

If your chicks are old enough you could probably feed it much coarser chopped or even whole if they have some grit and plenty of water.

If you can't find turkey starter then try to find gamebird starter. Chick starter is not sufficient for turkeys. You want to get them feed that is 27 to 30%.
