I have 10 birds.

My run is 16 x 16 = 256 sqft. Nice and roomy.

They free range about 1/2 of my acre lot most of the day. So I think they are fine. No fighting just a lot of chest bumping and running from the run to the corn field to the trees to roost and so on during the day.

My coop is 4 ft x 8ft = 32 sqft. But I have 2 roosts and 6 nest boxes outside. So I am sure I have way more room then needed in the coop as well for my 10 birds. I am looking to add 3 to 4 more.

I have 14 Barred Rock pullets. A 20 ft by 20 ft run seems to be big enough that they can't dig up all the vegetation in the course of a summer.
My old run was 16 by 8 and they devastated it.
