I'm framing up a wall and want to plan ahead for an automatic chicken door. 99% sure I'll go with the Pullet-Shut from chickendoor.com and was wondering if anyone here knows what size frame opening it requires?

Also, does the door swing to the inside or outside of the coop?

Lastly, do you know if it can be direct wired to eletric to avoid the add'l cost of a battery?

Thanks

I have not yet purchased mine; however, their website says
the opening is 11" wide by 15" tall.

You can probably mount it so it opens in or out (don't know).

Not sure about the power; however, their website says you can
"use a mains power (120 volt AC) adapter that produces 12 volts DC with at least 300 mA current."

Yeah...I got that info from their website, but assume the opening they reference (11x15) is the opening the chickens walk through which is different than what I'm after due to the frame. building this wall tomorrow so if anyone has additional information I could really use the help.
