What size hoop house is best?

Husband and I are planning on getting 6 laying chicks. We have the supplies ready for a hoop house and right now the area planned would be about 8 feet long and 8 1/2 feet wide. Is this big enough for 6 chickens? If not, how big should it be? Thank you all for the help!

My chicken coop is 5'x5' and 41/2' tall hoop coop. I have five chickens. There are three roots in the coop and the chickens use only one root and not all of it. You should be fine. Hope to see pictures when your done.
