I hatched three of the five eggs I was incubating. The other two may hatch yet but I doubt it.

I have the three that were hatched in a box with a heat lamp right next to me. They appear to be doing fine. They are still a little wet but eating and drinking. And pooping.

They seemed a little warm, so I aimed the heat lamp out of the box and they were happier I think.

What size light would you use with a small box? There are only three chicks. Do you think 150 would be ok?

I don't want to cook them but of course I don't want them to get cold.

Two of them are from two really lovely blue eggs and I am anxious for them to do well.

If they are indoors, I would only use a 60-100 watt bulb. Just have enough room in the box that they can get out of the Heat. They will decide where to stay comfortable. Since you are thinking of switching to a 150 I assume you have a 250 with them now, I only use that big if they are outdoors in the winter.
