what size netting for peafowl aviary?

I am setting up an aviary for my peafowl and am ready to purchase netting for their "day yard". I see some advertised at 2.5" - that is a bit larger than I use now in my small coops. I will be using this only above the yard to keep the adult birds from flying out and keep the owls, hawks, etc. from flying in. Is 2.5" ok?

Yes I use it. But if you are worried you can always double lap it
