What snake is this?

Found this by the coop. its only about 6-8 inches long. The dogs were playing with it.

No eggs missing. It ate a mouse.

That's why snakes are so valuable around a farm or chicken keeping area. Who needs barn cats when one has snakes?

looks like a Gopher Snake to me. Not a bad snake to have around, they eat mice.

Snakes big enough to eat mice and not big enough to eat eggs could be a wonderful thing.
