They've just begun to turn up in Washington. I've never been stung by a bee in my life, but I certainly don't want my first to be from a murder hornet. *Shudders*
Quarter-inch stingers! QUARTER-INCH!
Hide me, please. Please, please don't let them come to Maine....
Oh, and please be careful! I hope that you never have to deal with them!

Yes I agree ! My dad had to move something with an egg sac so I ..sorta.took it ...it should hatch soon and I'll let them go but he would've killed them anyway so...
You snagged a spider egg sac? Careful, could be black widow or just about anyhing, if you didn't see the spider mom.

Forget about those! - We had tons of deer-flies here this year. Their bites hurt like hell and bleed for 10 minutes.
Yech!
The big beach horseflies at the beach hurt a lot, too -- I tend to either spend a lot of time in the water, or cover myself with a big towel and doze.
Nasty things. I'll bet that the seagulls like them, though.
