Are you okay?Myers Briggs type indicator. It's a system for organizing personality types.
Like a lot of the nerdy types about it, I will insist it was never meant to be a simple stereotype system, as if you could say what a person would decide based on their type. Rather, it's supposed to be about HOW a person thinks, what process you use to arrive at conclusions. Not what you conclude.
And that each of the types has strengths and weaknesses, none better or worse, just a matter of what each person is working with.
Each of the 18 personality types uses 4 functions, the order of their stack shapes the strength and ability they show using those thought processes.
It's broken up into perceiving functions (processing, organizing sensory information). Sensing in Extroverted and Introverted form (Se, Si), and Intuition in E & I form (Ne, Ni).
And then there's judgement functions. These are all about making decisions based on the information organized by the perceiving functions. Judgement functions are Thinking in E & I form (Te, Ti) and Feeling in E & I form (Fe, Fi).
For example, we could look at Stormcrow (hehe). He's absolutely definitely an NTJ type (either INTJ - Introverted, or ENTJ - Extroverted, it's hard to say which over the internet).
What stands out about Stormcrow is the strong use of Te (extroverted thinking) which is a judgement function (deciding) based on externally available data. Empirical studies are their bread & butter. Clear, concise, quick thinking are their forte. Personal emotion isn't used in most decision processes - although that has nothing to do with how strongly they feel or keep them from making some rare life decisions on an emotional basis occasionally).
ENTJ = Te, Ni, Se, Fi
INTJ = Ni, Te, Fi, Se
Te = Empirical data. It's flexible, quick, decisive.
Ti = Personal Logic system. Based on a lifelong internal construct of what fits together.
Fe = Morality. The emotional impact on others determines right & wrong. Flexible morals depending on the circumstance.
Fi = Ethics. Personal feelings develop a custom value system that is very set. Like: "blank" is a wrong thing to do, period, even if you're dying.
(Both Fe & Fi are also used to manage personal emotions, Fe with a confusing focus on others that drives our own emotions both for the positive and the negative. Fi is naturally in tune with their own emotions and can be very empathetic as well. *It always depends on the person how they use these tools)
Perceiving functions:
Se: Senses data organized for rapid response. Many high users of it excel at athletics. Lower users with a weak grasp of it tend towards sensory indulgence. There's more to say about all these but I'm trying to keep it brief. lolololol
Si: A lense over sensory information using personal tradition to prioritize. The easiest example I can think of is like my mom in the kitchen. She uses her stirring spoon in the same way, the same pots for the same dishes, has a natural in-touch-ness with her environment and notices a lot, but may totally miss things that don't fit with her expectations.
Ne: Intuition interacting with the environment. Think MacGyver or Robinson Crusoe. They're the ones who have to handle everything and try to make it better, may sometimes make it worse.
Ni: Internal Intuition. Strongly associated with those "lightbulb" moments. Lower in the stack it can be used to organize small tidbits of information into a wider narrative. Higher in the stack it develops a complex web that all information must fit into or be rejected. I use this one first and it's a big reason why my posts don't always make sense to people other than me, lol.
Ok, you can see I'm a nerd about this. I hope I kept it short...
You need to spend more time with tech people. INTJ INTP all over the place. Thanks! His is easy, NTJs are pretty rare and they stand out in a crowd. So pretty much right away when I came back to the forum in '21.
Nope, no money to be made in it. But my type loves this typing thing, it's a fact, lol.
Feelers are a little harder for me because I'm a feeler too. So there's always a question of my own bias.
I think, tentatively, you feel like an NFP. The Ne spurs a love for fun and the Fi is softening. We'll have to have you read the description some time to see if ENFP fits you![]()
No but I should have.Did you get one?
Are you okay?![]()
You need to spend more time with tech people. INTJ INTP all over the place.
For what, the Myer Briggs ?I can't find the test thread!
I'm ISTJ or INTJ. I took it a long time ago and was ISTJ, I just took it now and I'm INTJ.You need to spend more time with tech people. INTJ INTP all over the place.
