What supplements do you give your chickens and why?

Do you believe in giving suppliments like Apple Cyder and Viniger, poultry spice, Seaweed extract among others?

I've tried all of these and find they don't do much for my girls. Nothing beats what they can get scratching around in the garden.

I see no problem giving supplements. I don't have chickens but my waterfowl get Niacin Supplements as well as Electrolytes.

I don't give my chickens any. I used to supplement my horses but I quit 2 years ago and all has been well.

I will do electrolytes in the summer. It gets pretty hot here and it's a very dry climate. Makes the water smell like vanilla... they seem to like it. Other than that the only supplements they get are what they dig up in the garden.

They have yard and garden everyday, foraging in the evenings.
