I hear various things from different people... so here's a question: of all the people you have hatched coturnix eggs from over the last five-ten years that are still in business, which performed best in regards to a) weight gain b) mature weight?

I have some georgia giants hatching as I speak, but I want to try some coturnix as well. I have wire bottom cages that are 3.5ftx3.5ft.

Thanks

LARGE HATCHERIES? BIG EGG PRODUCERS? I have used Cumberland game bird Farm a few years back. The service is so-so as it seems they arent real good at communication, but the eggs were great! I got the brown xld-1's and had no problems with shipping and very good hatch rates. The quality of birds raised from these were very good. I recomend their eggs, but as i said their communication skills kinda suck...

Thanks JJ. I've heard you have very good eggs. I've also heard that a fellow on ebay/eggbid has some nice texas A&Ms and jumbo browns, but can be difficult to deal with.

I've only had the jumbo browns/goldens and Texas A&Ms. I got my first jumbos from SamG347. I now only have the TA&Ms, and am trying to increase the size of the flock and birds, and trying to get nearly pure white birds. The Georgia Giants are great, but they are slow to mature compared to the TA&Ms, though they are slightly larger in size. I think I got bobwhite eggs from Steelshot (Tony)... haven't seen him here for a while, but they were nice big clean eggs.

Really good hatch rate, too.

Purely white birds shouldn't be a problem lol. I only had like 3 or 4 from your eggs that weren't completely white.
