What temp does an egg freeze?

I feel it is better to ship when it is colder than when it is too hot. Cold will keep development to a minimum and, thus, make it safer. If it is too hot it can spur additional development making them more fragile or even kill the embryo if they overheat in the back of a truck. I have also heard of others hatching eggs that had been frozen, without shell damage.

Great! Thank you so much for the info. I will be waiting until after the holiday, of course. Now I just have to decide what to get! *sigh*

I was wondering as long as the shell is not cracked are the eggs still ok to eat, if so do I keep them on the counter to unthaw

As long as the shell has not broken a fertilized egg can still be incubated and produce a chick after having been frozen. In a comparative anatomy class I took in college we did experiments on various amphibian, reptilian and avian eggs where we manipulated external factors to see if they would still hatch. To my surprise the frozen chicken eggs hatched at a comparative rate to our control eggs.
I know this is old, but just exactly what I needed to know ! Thanks :)
