What temperature is it where you live?

Funny but I saw two honeybees crammed into small openings in the brick.I guess they are trying to warm up. I wonder if warming stations could be made for them with brooder light. We haven't had any frost yet and I'm sure they want to complete whatever work the Queen has for them.

In my lifetime I never saw bees trying to warm up with the bricks. Maybe I just never noticed.

I thought it rains often in WA & Ore. My son sez they don't get thunderstorms. :idunno
We do get them but nothing like the Midwest! It usually rains all winter with occasional snow and ice here and there. Lol This is in western Washington. East of the Cascade Mtns. it is more of a continental climate, warmer summers and colder winters.

69.3F Tuesday 4:42 PM- every year we get ONE praying mantis- just spotted the 2019 version. Usually this time of year they are dying from the temps, etc. and I can pet them all I want. Today I just touched his /her back and she jumped down to the front step. Touched her again and she ran for the Rose of Sharon squad. This one is far from dying- so I'll let her be. Just curious that it/they pick our house every year. Apart from the last 4 years, we never saw one.

It's just a wilderness here. :gig 50 years ago saw Bob White's in the back yard, only knew that because they kept saying "Bob White." Then we had several pheasants - one time only. Once many Cedar Waxwings took over the Sycamore tree. Had way too many rabbits - now we go years without seeing one. Think the coyotes and fox are responsible for that. Though haven't seen either this year.

Barely any deer - when we used to have them in most of the back yards when they weren't playing tag with cars. Just had the one buck that destroyed my beautiful hosta.

Guess the suburbs are getting too citified.:(. Think I'll go sleep on that.

After last nights rains, we had quite a heavy frost this morning. Our frost this year were very few and far between, not that I am complaining.

@Sequel oh they are so beautiful, thank you for the pictures

Here are the kangaroos. They come down to this area of an afternoon, to eat the grass at the edge of the golf course...the golf club waters the grass in this area, and the kangaroos eat he grass and get the water.

I Can’t get too close, cause they will attack me
