The other day my 18 week old Wyandotte hen was out in the yard and made a sound that sounds like a when a person gets scared or startled (a scream).

I was just wondering do they do that, is it a warning call to others or should I be concerned?

But she's a hen so it couldn't be a rooster but that makes sense it's a warning call could it be she saw a snake we have a lot of those
