What the FLIP??????

I just went out to fill feeder and found one of my hens dead out in the middle of the yard dead. See had no visible injuries but it looked like she had been half way plucked and she was wet where around that area and her head. Any ideas what it could be that killed her???

I had a fox that would pluck my chickens right in the yard, I always assumes by chicken put up a fight which was why there were quite a bit of feathers.... Then one night I looked out and saw a fox with one of my hens... It stopped in my walnut orchard and was literally plucking her! My mom pulled in my driveway for a visit, and the fox took off leaving the chicken behind.

It's possible you have a fox and it got startled?

Thank you all!! I just don't know what to do. At night they are locked up in a mobile coop and during the they are surrounded by electric netting. so to go out and find one dead in the middle of the day is confusing.
