Idk what has happened. I went to check on my chickens this morning like every morning and I picked up one of my hens and her toe is MISSING! It’s had to have been gone for a while now cause it’s “healed up”. But I’m afraid that looks like bumble foot on her “toe” now. What should I do to help her? She didn’t seem in pain or anything. I feel like such a bad chicken mom. How could I not have noticed this? Dottie has never seemed to been injured or anything. Never walked funny or layed down for a long time.

Yes, it looks like Bumblefoot to me. There are several treatment options you can try - anything from cutting out the infection to drawing out infection by soaking in fish antibiotics. Hard to know how she lost a toe - could have been from frostbite.

Some people have had chickens lose toes or even whole feet due to frostbite.

Wear gloves to protect you and her when you extract the infection; it's a staph infection (easily passed around).
