these were from a school hatch? no idea where the eggs came from
looks like pea comb? and WHITE earlobes.
she is 4 1/2 months old
thoughts?
she has not started laying yet
I'd have to disagree with white cornish. The only cornish trait she has is a pea comb. Cornishes do not have white earlobes, they have red. Her type is way off for a cornish (even a hatchery bird); type more resembles that of a heavy breed. Also, she's not a white. She seems to be a washed out splash. She's a mix of some sort, pretty bird though!
she is very pretty I agree! I am helping someone who has her figure out her breed. I thought I was so smug because I have become pretty good at this LOL Then I saw those bright white earlobes and thought WHAT THE HECK????
she reminds me some of my white easter egger just w.o muffs. but I agree with the last poster, she seems to be a very washed out splash.
but am I right? she is a mix because I sure could not find a "white" ear lobed, pea comb breed?
thanks for your help!
I agree that she is a mix, but I think one of the parents was Cornish. The Pea comb, tight short feathers, and strong breast are the traits that make me think part Cornish.
