What the heck???? Help Needed!

Thanks again. I'll leave the hiney's alone and just enjoy our daily egg, lol. But at least I now know that if she misses a day, I'll keep a good eye on her. I can't believe how much they mean to me!
 
You are adicted. Welcome to the club. I agree with the other posts. Don't worry. Collect the eggs as often as you can. Once in awhile I will get a rough one, but usually I just wipe it with a towell and alot of the roughness I get comes off. It's almost like sand. Your chicken could have eaten a shell less egg or a soft shell, you don't want an egg eater. Shell less or soft shelled eggs are not uncomon for new layers. I started mine on layer and crushed oyster shells as free choice, as soon as I got my first egg knowing more would be following.
 
I had a shell-less egg a few days ago and a sandpaper egg today. Also had 2 eggs (different days) on the droppings board! I guess it was quite a week! Had no idea that anyone was having trouble laying...

I need a spy cam in the coop to see who's doing what when!
