That's a question I would ask the seller. Terminology can vary so widely from one side of the country to the other. Just ask them for clarification of the term. They sure seem to make a big to-do about it, whatever it's supposed to be!

I think I remember reading in a hatchery catalog that a cherry egger is a production red. I could be wrong and will have to double check. So I'll be back...............

I was right, it's a production red RIR/New Hampsire cross
